USA Today Discovers The Horrors Of Unsecured WiFi

When are these stories going to stop? Now USA Today has their story about unsecured WiFi access points that they found along highway 101 from LA to San Francisco. While those who set up their access points do need to be aware of the security risks, that doesn’t mean that any open WiFi access point is definitely a security problem. Those who know how to use their access points correctly can still set up access points and share their bandwidth (assuming their ISP allows it). However, this article, like so many others, simply assumes that all open WiFi is bad.
