Playing Down The Tech Specs
from the it's-about-time... dept
One good thing to come out CeBit appears to be that many of the gadget makers are doing their best to (finally!) stop talking about the technology specs of the gadgets they’re pushing and start focusing on the actual benefits to users. Most users don’t really care about things like CDMA/GPRS/3G/MMS/whatever. They just want a device that does what they want it to do. Hopefully, companies are starting to realize this.

Cyclical
When large numbers of people buy a simple, standard device, then the geek snobs will scoff at the “fag” machines. The more macho consumers will buy the more complicated products with useless bells and whistles, repeating the cycle.
