Stop Talking Tech Jargon, Start Talking Benefits
from the it's-about-time... dept
This isn’t the first time we’ve written about this, but more people are beginning to realize that all this tech jargon intimidates buyers. People don’t know why they want a “3G” mobile phone, and they don’t care. While there’s a reason for the tech jargon existing to better communicate information for those working on these products – it shouldn’t be seeping out into the marketing material when it’s aimed at everyday, non-tech savvy, buyers. Instead, the focus should be on what makes the product useful or better than what’s out there. Just telling people that 3G is better than 2G doesn’t convince people why they should shell out for a new phone.
