Working At The Mall

A group of companies trying to figure out what the “office of the future” is going to be like have set up a WiFi-enabled cube farm in the middle of a mall, where they’re hoping random people will stop by and work for a while, so that they can study the wireless worker of the future. Of course, when you set up things in such a specific way, I wonder how useful the data really will be. However, it is still an interesting experiment. While most of the focus on WiFi these days has been in coffee shops and restaurants, will we start to see more random WiFi-enabled cubicle farms where you can just grab an office on the go?
