Orange Tries Try Before You Buy For Data Services

Realizing that people aren’t rushing out to sign up for various new data offerings, Orange has realized that it’s tough to make people pay for something when they don’t understand the value. Thus, they’re going to offer a new “try before you buy” service called “Try” that will let users try various data services for a free month before deciding whether or not they’re going to keep using it (and paying for it). For pay services, this obviously makes sense – though, there is the very real chance that customers do understand the value of the services, and just don’t believe they’re worth the price being charged. Update: The Inquirer’s opinion on this move? Try Harder.
