Phone And Park
More evidence that a mobile phone is becoming increasingly likely to take away the need to carry around spare change. Yet another place is installing phone and park systems, where you pay for your parking meter by phoning a specific phone number (and the system can SMS you to alert you when your time is running out). This system is in Edinburgh, and is similar to other systems we’ve written about in the past. While I still haven’t heard much about how successful, in usage terms, these systems are – the fact that they’re showing up in more and more places certainly suggests there’s a market for them.
