Yet Another DVD Copying Software Is Sued

from the sue-sue-sue-sue-sue-sue-sue-sue dept

While some may think that the movie industry has responded more intelligently to the issues surrounding digital content than the music industry, there’s plenty of evidence to the contrary. Just like the RIAA, the movie industry seems quick to sue any time someone comes up with a useful tool that has plenty of non-infringing uses. So, while they’re already busy with suing 321 Studios for their DVD copying software, they’ve now started suing yet another company, Tritton, for their own DVD copying software. While being involved in a lawsuit is never much fun, this should bring about plenty of publicity for a company that was in 321’s shadow.
