Cell Phone Could Warn Of Gas Leaks

Earlier this week, we were wondering how someone could report the well-proven internet myth that mobile phones cause fuel pumps to explode. Now, however, someone is working on a new technology that would add a sensor to your mobile phone to allow it to warn you when there’s a gas leak around. So, maybe now you’ll want to keep that mobile phone on, when you’re filling up. (Yes, I realize that they’re talking about other forms of gas like methane, as opposed to gasoline, which isn’t really a gas at all – but the story sounds better this way).
