Motorola To Pick Up Microsoft Phone

Back in February we predicted that Motorola would eventually give in and offer a Microsoft-powered smartphone. While they are a Symbian founding partner, and have talked up the wonders of Linux as a smartphone platform it appears, they’re going with the “we’ll offer anything” strategy (which also could be called the “we’re not really sure where any of this is going” strategy). Today came the expected announcement that they’ll soon be offering Microsoft-powered smartphones as well. When the phone comes out, it will make them the first of the top five handset makers to launch a Microsoft powered phone (though Samsung planned to, and then changed their mind).
