T-Mobile USA And FCC Reach Settlement On E911 Violation
T-Mobile USA has apparently reached an agreement with the FCC for violating the rules on deploying an E911 system. They’re paying $1.1 million to the US government, but, perhaps more importantly, are going to be watched carefully to make sure they go about implementing an E911 system in a timely manner. Of course, that doesn’t mean they won’t keep dragging their feet. If the occasional $1 million fine doesn’t bother them, then why not keep it up?
