Bertelsmann Wants Napster Lawsuits Thrown Out
from the as-they-should dept
Bertelsmann is going to court this week to argue that the various lawsuits filed against them by the music industry simply for investing in Napster should be thrown out. They would appear to have a pretty strong argument, since suing the investors in a company doesn’t have much precedent (though, having those investors sue the management, certainly does). This is clearly a case of the rest of the music industry (sans Bertelsmann) simply going after one company that has money, since everyone else involved with Napster is long gone.
