Picture Phones Save Doctors Time
Yet another new use for picture messaging, coming from places where you might least expect it. Junior doctors are sending photos snapped from their camera phones of x-rays to more senior doctors to get their opinions on them quickly. Of course, I wonder how high quality the photos can be, but it seems to be working for some basic diagnoses and discussions of treatment options.
