Day-Care Web Cams Open Eyes
from the Big-Mommy-and-Daddy dept
There have been plenty of stories about how daycare centers are starting to set up webcams for parents to check in on their kids, but this is the first one I’ve seen that suggests that some think the technology has gone too far. Plenty of daycare centers refuse to offer it, and say that it only shows that the parents don’t trust the daycare center employees. However, those that do offer the service have found that’s not true. Parents simply want to be able to check-in and see their kids on a regular basis. If anything, they’ve found it to be beneficial, because they don’t get random calls from parents all day long asking about the kids.

I’d choose one that had it any day – NOT because we “don’t trust them” – god if we didn’t we wouldn’t send our kids there! – but because we miss them when we’re away. It’s that simple.
Webcams 2 thumbs up!!
I think it’s a good idea. My son is lucky though cause my mom wathces him. But if we ever had to put him in daycare I’d give the webcams a definate 2 thumbs up. I would definetly trust the daycare center alt more and I would feel confident that if I ever had any doubts I could check in on him.
