From Moblogging To SLOGging

I know that I’ve complained about the term “moblogging” before when used to explain blogging from a mobile device, but I’m not sure the term SLOGging is any better. A company has created a service for travelers to update a special travel blog, called a SLOG, via SMS. The SLOG service doesn’t sound all that different than a typical moblogging service – though, the SLOGs sound like they’re temporary. They’re just designed to be used when you’re on vacation. If you’re not a regular blogger, I’m not sure why you’re suddenly going to start when you head off for some rest and relaxation.
