Over in the UK, people are pointing out that for commercial WiFi to really take off, they have to do everything to encourage home-based WiFi first. This make sense, since it’s those users who will be more likely to make use of commercial WiFi, or add WiFi to their business operations. Of course, it’s amusing to see various ISPs in the US fight against WiFi – as they fear that it will be used by people to “steal” bandwidth (which is a ridiculous argument in its own way).
