Net Lags In Health Use

from the is-that-good-or-bad? dept

A new study sutggests that fewer people than expected are surfing the internet for health information. The results actually suggest that people who used to search for health information no longer are. Of course, the study was done nearly two years ago, so who knows if the data is still relevant. Also, I find it amusing that the researchers are complaining about this. Whenever previous studies on this topic have come out showing how much people rely on health info online, there are always people complaining that the health info online is full of errors, and it isn’t safe. So, now, when it turns out that fewer than expected people are checking health info online (perhaps, in part to all the warnings about incorrect info), the researchers are complaining that not enough people are looking for health info online.
