Mobile Phone Lines Set To Double By '07 in Asia

The latest study is predicting that the number of mobile phone lines in Asia is set to double in Asia over the next four years. Of course, the majority of that growth will be in China, India, and Indonesia (also known as the first, second, and fourth largest human populations on the planet). When you’re talking about over 40% of the world’s population, that can be quite an impact – and the smaller countries of the region become statistical blips. Interestingly, the article mentions that Taiwan currently leads the region in handset population with 106.5% penetration. How do you get over 100%? It seems that it’s quite popular to have more than one mobile phone in Taiwan.
