Ferreting Out Software Piracy

from the oh-my dept

Not really sure what to make of this, but the BSA (famous for never meeting a number they couldn’t inflate or overhype when making their case about software piracy) has decided to go after the hearts and minds of children. Their method for convincing kids that copying software is “bad”? Yes, it’s a cartoon ferret with baggy jeans and a tight t-shirt. The ferret takes part in interactive games to teach kids all about software licensing (now doesn’t that sound like fun for your average 8-year-old?). I guess this is the “Smokey the Bear” strategy in action.
