McDigital Marketing

from the can-McDonald's-use-technology-to-turn-itself-around? dept

While Krispy Kreme has been using technology for years to keep their business strong, McDonald’s is now looking at technology to help turn the company around. We’ve already spoken about plans to offer DVD rental kiosks, “quick payment” keychains, and offer wireless connectivity to anyone who buys a value meal. With all that technology, they’ve realized that it’s about time that they started

advertising like mad online. They’re pushing a new online advertising strategy (which I imagine will promote some of these technology initiatives) to try to bring customers back to their restaurants which have been struggling over the past few years. Of course, if I start getting pop-ups adveritising Big Macs, it’s only going to make sure I stay away from McDonald’s.
