NASCAR Fan Faces Prison Time For Flooding Fox With Emails

from the brilliant-people-out-there... dept

Fans didn’t get their name from the word “fanatical” for nothing… A fan of NASCAR racing, however, seemed to get a little crazy when he decided that Fox was making a mistake in Boston by showing a Red Sox baseball game instead of a NASCAR race. He set up a script to flood the station with 530,000 emails. He’s agreed to plead guilty and may face a year in jail for taking down Fox’s website. What’s amazing to me is that people who do this sort of thing don’t seem to think they’ll get caught – or that it will be a problem if they are found out. Found over at O’DonnellWeb.
