A reporter for the Boston Globe has noticed that scalpers of Red Sox tickets have moved online in a big way. While the Red Sox have tried to counter with an official site for selling tickets at face value, sellers realize there’s a lot more money to be made by selling tickets at huge markups on a variety of other sites. Of course, this is nothing new. For last year’s World Series, Craigslist had tickets priced at insane markups and eBay has made some inroads towards being the scalpers destination of choice.
