The End Of Tech History?

from the don't-worry-so-much dept

I don’t often agree with Charles Cooper’s Friday morning columns, but today I think he’s made a good point. With all the whining going about the problems in the tech industry, many people keep looking for a place to put the blame. First it was internet excesses, then venture capitalists, and now some are complaining that Moore’s Law is ending – and the tech industry will suffer because of it. Cooper is telling people to get over it, and I agree. There are a ton of very powerful and revolutionary things happening in the technology industry right now that will have a huge impact in the next few years. Some of the best technology businesses are usually created and built during the worst economic times (since they have to build fundamentally sound businesses). So, for those complaining about what a downer technology is these days – you’re missing out.
