Locked Up For Sending Game Cheats To Inmates

from the no-help-allowed! dept

Not quite sure what to make of this one. A former police officer was sent to jail a few years ago for beating up someone who complained about a party he was holding. While in jail, he apparently befriended a couple of inmates there over a certain (unnamed) video game that they would play. Apparently, they were all a bit stumped about the video game, so when the guy finally got out of jail he looked up some cheat codes on the internet, and sent it to the inmates who were still inside. Unfortunately, the terms of his parole said that he’s not allowed to contact any convicted felons, so now he has to go back to a federal corrections halfway house. Pretty harsh for someone who was just trying to help some buddies get through a video game.
