Mobiles To Monitor Children

Over in the UK parents can now monitor their children’s whereabouts via mobile phone. The system, called Guardian Angel will even track their routes to and from school, and alert the parent via SMS if the kid goes off-track. THe system uses regular mobile tracking systems (so, figuring out which tower it’s closest too, basically) rather than GPS, so it isn’t an exact science. Kids, not surprisingly, are not at all happy with this new technology. It certainly does seem like a bit of an extreme way to track your kid.
