Why We Need A High-Tech Shakeout
from the too-much-crap-still-around dept
McKinsey Consulting has decided that there are still too many useless companies around from the dot com era – and we need an outsider (with McKinsey’s assistance, I’m sure) to help “restructure” Silicon Valley. Their argument is that too many bad people and bad companies are still hanging on, because they’re all propping each other up. I think that’s a bit exaggerated. The number of companies that have failed, and which continue to fail, suggests that the problems are working themselves out.
