Silly Startup, WiFi Is For Carriers

With the continuing failures of the smaller attempts at setting up commercial WiFi hotspots, Business 2.0 is suggesting that this is a market designed only for big players, such as the wireless carriers. Of course, what they forget to mention is that T-Mobile’s attempt hasn’t exactly been a huge success either. Certainly, the wireless carriers can sweep losses under the rug for a longer period of time – but that doesn’t make them any more likely to succeed.
