Online gambling is constantly being debated by the US government, but it’s still big business – and these days, there’s big money taking bets on current events, such as predicting Saddam Hussein’s fate or where the next big earthquake will be. The CEO of one of the betting companies says it’s a way for people to express their opinions (while lining his pocket). According to the article, many of the bettors are Americans who need to find something to do with their gambling itch between the Super Bowl and March Madness, which gives you a quick snapshot of the state of our culture these days.
