Corporate Email Makes Its Way to Nokia Phones

Both IBM and Oracle, in separate announcements, said that they’ll be offering access to corporate email systems via Nokia phones. Of course, I imagine Nokia knew that both announcements were coming out on the same day. As someone in the article points out, the first thing users want to do is check their email – and yet everyone seems to end up building different applications for the mobile phone – such as access to a CRM system. Moves like this, of course, will position Nokia to move more into the PDA space to take on companies like RIM.
