, AT&T Wireless Hook Up For Love

Of course, this is an application that is often discussed when people talk about the possibilities of location-based services, but there are some questions as to how well it will work in practice. While there have been simple gadgets (like the lovegety in Japan) that serve the same sort of purpose – doing it over your mobile phone may be a little different, since it opens up people to a much broader range. Also, the current technology isn’t really designed for this, so this particular offering works based on zip codes, which the user has to enter. Of course, if this simplified version really does catch on, just imagine what a version using real location-based technologies might do.
