Symbol Technologies is trying to jump on the WiFi bandwagon by helping to setup WiFi systems in hospitals and other medical establishments. Symbol, which is well known for getting their handheld devices into warehouses and other logistics operations, clearly sees potential in the hospital space. It sounds like they’re pushing into the area that Vocera is trying to enter with their WiFi enabled “communicator badges”.
