No One's Talking At Online Grocers

During the boom years, all the online grocers loved to talk big. They would hype up their services to ridiculous levels, which all came crashing down when reality reminded them what tiny margins there are in the grocery business. Now, that online groceries (via the big grocery stores themselves) is starting to bubble back up to the surface – those new online grocers are staying as quiet as possible and avoiding any hype (but, also not saying if they’ve solved the profit problem). On the whole, this is probably a good thing. The new online grocers don’t seem to be delusional on what they’re getting into. Hopefully, the silence is because they’re building things up slowly and getting it right – rather than because nothing is working properly.
