Wireless Workings

Red Herring takes a peak at some of the applications in Cisco’s wireless laboratory to prove the point that, despite the tech downturn, wireless is still looking like a bright spot. There’s clearly so much room for new applications – and many are ready for deployment. It’s nice to see such an optimistic piece. Of course, from the article, you could infer that the most likely areas for these things to catch on are narrowly focused applications. This isn’t a huge surprise. The big efforts to create systems that offer wireless for everyone everywhere are clearly struggling. But, it’s good to remember that this doesn’t mean the entire wireless world is struggling.
