Sprint PCS, AT&T Wireless Join Forces On Towers

As it becomes more and more difficult to get cellular coverage in certain regions (leading to the trend of stealth towers), many wireless carriers have realized that they absolutely need to work together on these things. Sprint PCS and AT&T Wireless have now announced plans to cooperate on their cell towers. The two companies will share information about current towers, and work together on constructing new towers that both can use. This follows on a similar (though, not quite so tightly bound) plan from Cingular and T-Mobile. Analysts now say that they expect all the wireless carriers to get in on the sharing game.
