Java Games Will Outsell Ringtones
To date SMS is the only data service that has generated significant revenue for wireless operators and ringtones have been the most popular content downloads. According to a new report by Analysys all that is going to change over the next three years with Java games surpassing ringtone downloads and bringing in $3 billion dollars by 2005. They don’t say who is going to drive this growth, but it would be safe to assume its the youth market.
