Handsets Up, Infrastructure Down

Nokia remained positive on handset sales for 2002 and 2003 at its investor strategy meeting in Dallas. The company estimates that the global handset market for 2002 will reach 400 million units with 10 percent growth for 2003. They are however less optimistic about the wireless infrastructure business. They predict it will be down 20 percent for 2002 and 10 percent for 2003. Lucky for them that most of their business is on the handset side.
