New Gizmos May Spark Deregulation
A good overview about the fundamental perspective shift of the FCC towards wireless spectrum. It seems that the “open spectrum” crowd is finally winning over those who count to their side, and we should expect some deregulation in that area. The article suggests that new devices for new purposes will push deregulation which, in turn, will make it easier to create new devices… which will mean more deregulation, and so on. Of course, not everyone is excited by the changes, but it seems like the FCC is determined to push them through.
