Looking Back At 1992's Look Forward

from the not-bad dept

One of my biggest complaints with people who predict the future is they rarely look back to see how well (or how poorly) their predictions turned out. However, Mike Langberg at the San Jose Mercury News put together predictions for 2002 ten years ago, and is now looking back to see how well he did. On the whole, I’d say he did a pretty good job. He clearly missed a few things, but wasn’t too far off on a lot of other things. A number of his predictions seem likely to still come true in the future. He did miss some fairly large trends as well, but overall, I’d say he did a much better job than most people would have done 10 years ago.
