Bluetooth For Theft Protection
Bluetooth has been slow to catch on. OEM car kits and low cost headsets like the Jabra BT200 will help. The folks over at Samsonite think they have some pretty handy uses for Bluetooth equipped luggage. Given that there are security concerns with BT, it’s ironic that one of their applications uses Bluetooth as a theft deterrent. Samsonite’s Bluetooth luggage will notify the owner when someone walks away with their briefcase. Interstingly, they don’t say exactly how one is notified. An audbile alert would make the most sense, but that could easily get annoying if you forget to turn off the alarm and hand the case to a friend to watch.
