Wireless WarDrive: Wee Bit of Fun

There have been plenty of articles about the first WorldWide WarDrive (WWWD), which is intended to have people interested in such things drive all around and spot open wifi networks (though, not access them). The WWWD is still going on throughout the week, and eventually most of the results will be uploaded and posted (though, without specific information). As expected, people are finding plenty of open networks where they probably shouldn’t. However, I still get worried when people writing about these things seem to assume that all open wifi networks are a “bad” thing. Certainly some open networks may have been put in place so that (just an idea) people could use them.
