Internships Go Virtual
from the why-work-at-all dept
So, let’s see, first you try to get free or nearly free labor from smart youngsters by setting up a “college intern” program, and then you decide to save even more money by “going virtual” and telling those interns work from home (or better yet, the university’s computing center). It’s little wonder companies are hiring anyone at all any more. Perhaps this is just a way to indoctrinate kids into the “free agent nation” theory of employment.
