CDMA Will Unseat GSM
Stewart Alsop is going out on a limb and predicting that CDMA will unseat GSM as a worldwide standard by 2010. This goes against most analyst predictions. Alsop points out that this prediction probably horrifies many people – especially those in Europe who love their GSM. His reasons: (1) CDMA works better than GSM (2) it’s a better system for data and (3) it’s easier and cheaper to install.
