Fashion v Fun

Unstrung spent a day at the Mobile Commerce World in London and came back with some evidence that mobile data isn’t dead yet. They point out that despite all the 3G bashing going on, companies are moving ahead developing new services that run over today’s GPRS networks. What struck me about the examples they gave was that besides MMS, they are mostly the same things I saw in London at the Mobile Commerce show in February. I’m not a mobile skeptic by any means. But reading Unstrung’s show highlights I had a feeling of deja vu not unlike the one about CEATEC.
