Tough Week For Wireless Companies
There seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel for US wireless companies. Two companies are reporting layoffs this week. Just after releasing the latest version of their phone browser, Openwave is cutting 25% of it staff. Small, but innovative carrier Leap Wireless is also cutting 8% of their staff due to general industry slowdown. Hopefully we’re near the bottom of all this.
