The Wrong Wave?

The Washington Post ran a story yesterday questioning the value of wireless data. They point out that while carriers are spending billions to upgrade networks few are taking advantage of the new features. Factually the article is spot on. But I think it’s missing a larger point. We’re in a transitionary period. The intial services are expriments at best and they will evolve. Granted the industry does overhype and underdeliver. But I strongly believe that just as the internet has become a part of so many people’s live and popular culture, so will wireless data. It is still early in the game.
