News Sites Struggle To Stay Relevant Online

Once again, many news organizations are wondering exactly how they should be presenting news online. There had been some debate about this during the boom years, but since the dot coms died off, many newspapers went the “shovelware” route, cutting and pasting the stories for their newspaper and dumping them into an HTML template. These days, however, many sites are finally realizing that the internet affords them the ability to do different things – such as interact more with their audience, and offer much more dynamic content. Many sites are also realizing that they need to adjust if they’re going to keep the interest of young people today who simply expect very different things from the web than standard news articles.
