California Suing Spammers

from the it's-a-step dept

California’s attorney general announced a few months ago that they were looking for examples of spammers (preferably from a California company to a California resident). I sent them three examples I have, and the message bounced. I repeatedly tried to contact the attorney general’s office to show them the emails, but I could never reach them. It sounds like someone got through, though, because California is now suing a “marketing” company for spamming. They say they’re still looking for more examples of spammers, but my experience showed that it wasn’t easy to get to them. Hopefully, though, more cases like this will start popping up, and it will destroy a few spamming operations.
