Court OKs Student Expulsion Over Derogatory Web Site

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled that a student could be expelled for creating a derogatory webpage about a teacher. Despite the fact that the student created the site on his own computer, and hosted it elsewhere, the Court determined that it was considered “on-campus speech” because it disrupted the operation of the school.
