FCC to help wireless auction bidders
The Nextwave spectrum saga continues. The FCC has decided to let carriers off the hook for $16 billion in spectrum bids. Carriers had originally bid on this spectrum which orignally belonged to bankrupt NextWave and the FCC decided to reauction. The good news is that when the spectrum is available again, after some more legal wrangling, its market value will be probably be half of the original $16 billion.
