Get Your Degree (Real Or Fake) Online

from the degree-mills dept

I’ve been noticing more and more spam lately telling me about the wonderful college degrees I can get for the right price. It seems that more and more diploma mills are advertising online. While they keep getting chased out of locations by local laws, they simply move on somewhere else, and keep offering the same degrees. There’s very little enforcement when these things get shut down. I always wondered why anyone would care to have a degree from an unaccredited university – but it seems that beyond degree mills, there are also accreditation mills. There are a number of “non-recognized” accreditation organizations as well that accredit these degree mills. At the same time, however, this is putting some stress on real online university offerings, because potential employers don’t think online degrees are real degrees.
