Buggy Software Takes Its Toll

from the when-will-there-be-liability? dept

It seems that plenty of companies are still blaming big expensive enterprise software projects that failed for their weak bottom line results. It brings up a lot of questions about the value of all these enterprise software systems big tech companies have been pushing forever. It’s not often you hear stories about any of these systems actually saving companies money. The software vendors blame increasing competition during the boom years for forcing them to push out buggy software, but that seems like a weak excuse. They also say that things are better now, but I’ll believe it when I see it. Companies have been claiming that their products are “better” for years, but they still don’t do what was promised.
